Considering Dysport in Annapolis?
West Annapolis Medical Spa offers Dysport alongside Botox, Xeomin and Daxxify. Dysport is a prescription treatment for moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in adults under 65. Other proposed cosmetic areas may be off-label; ask about your specific plan.
Dysport’s manufacturer reports that effects may begin within days and may last up to five months in studied patients. Your onset and duration can differ. Neither a faster onset nor a particular duration is guaranteed. Read the manufacturer’s patient and safety information.
Discuss previous toxin treatments, medications, relevant medical conditions and allergies, including cow’s milk protein allergy. Ask for an area-based quote and whether manufacturer rewards apply. Our cost guide and injector guide help you prepare.
Get familiar with the names.
West Annapolis Medical Spa offers all four products. Their formulations, approved uses, dosing, and labeling differ. Start by learning what is being proposed rather than assuming any one name is always the best fit.
| Product | Prescription name |
|---|---|
| Botox Cosmetic | onabotulinumtoxinA |
| Dysport | abobotulinumtoxinA |
| Xeomin | incobotulinumtoxinA |
| Daxxify | daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm |

Ask about the plan, not just the brand.
- Your previous response. Tell the injector which products you have tried, how you felt about the result, and when you noticed it wearing off.
- Your priorities. Explain the areas you want to discuss, movement you want to preserve, and any event you are planning around.
- Duration and flexibility. Ask how long the proposed effect may last and what that means if you are trying treatment for the first time.
- Risks and approved uses. Ask whether the proposed area is approved for that specific product or is an off-label use.
The practice’s product guide describes typical Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin effects as lasting around three to four months, with Daxxify often lasting longer. These are practice-published expectations, not promises. Review the product-specific information and discuss your own response with your injector.
Unit numbers are product-specific.
A larger number on a Dysport treatment record does not by itself mean a stronger treatment or a larger change than Botox. Units are specific to each product; do not use a simple conversion to compare your own treatments.
The practice publishes comparable treatment-area pricing for Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, and separate Daxxify estimates. Ask for the product, areas, plan, and complete cost when comparing options.
Switching products?
Bring the date and name of your last treatment. Let your injector determine timing and suitability rather than booking a different product based only on an online comparison.
Make the decision together.
You do not need to choose a brand before your appointment. Use the first-visit guide to prepare your questions and the cost guide to understand published estimates.
